COUTURE MASKS

Couture Masks is a comedic digital illustration I created during the COVID-19 pandemic. It accompanies a fashion article published in Vogue Arabia, highlighting the contributions of fashion houses during this time. These fashion houses repurposed their factories to mass-produce masks for people worldwide.

The illustration depicts individuals from diverse cultures and ethnicities wearing these masks. It subtly conveys the sadness and anxiety of the period, reflecting the fear and uncertainty of the time. Simultaneously, it introduces a touch of humour by highlighting the irony of wearing designer masks, blending elements of sorrow and satire.
